Does the PFM920I-5EU-C support Gigabit internet speeds?

Yes, this Cat5e U/UTP cable fully supports 10/100/1000 Mbps (Gigabit) data transfer speeds up to the standard 100 meters, which is sufficient for most 4K CCTV streams and office networks.

Can I use PFM920I-5EU-C for powering security cameras via PoE?

Yes, absolutely. Because it is high-purity OFC copper, it is specifically designed to handle Power over Ethernet (PoE) loads efficiently, minimizing voltage drop over long distances.

I need the exact electrical resistance specs for a large project using PFM920I-5EU-C. Where can I find them?

For detailed engineering datasheets or specific electrical resistance parameters not listed here, please reach out to our technical support team at [email protected].

Does the PFM920I-5EU-C cable use pure copper or CCA conductors?

It uses 99.99% Oxygen Free Copper (OFC). This ensures significantly better conductivity and durability compared to Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA), making it the superior choice for reliable security systems.

What fire safety rating does the PFM920I-5EU-C have for EU buildings?

The cable is certified as CPR Class E (and UL CM). This ensures it meets the necessary EU construction product regulations for fire safety in residential and commercial installations.

Which type of RJ45 connectors do I need for this box?

You should use standard RJ45 connectors designed for Cat5e solid-core U/UTP cables. Since this cable is unshielded, you do not need expensive shielded connectors.

How do I pull the wire from the PFM920I-5EU-C box without tangling?

The 305m cable comes in a specialized "Easy Pull" carton box. Ensure you pull the cable through the designated feed opening to dispense it smoothly and prevent kinks during installation.

Is there a specific way to track how much cable I have used?

Yes, high-quality cables like this usually include meter marking printed directly on the sheath, allowing you to easily calculate how much length is remaining in the box.

Is this Cat5e cable suitable for outdoor installation?

This model features a White PVC sheath which is primarily designed for indoor use. If you need to run it outdoors, we recommend running it inside a protective conduit to prevent UV and weather damage.
