  1. Andrew Collins –

I’m really impressed with this Dahua NVR. The ePoE technology is a game-changer for my long-range cameras, making setup a breeze. Everything worked right out of the box, and the 4K quality is stunning. Apsardze24 provided great service and quick shipping. It’s a solid, reliable unit for any home security setup.

Which mobile app allows me to view the NVR5208-8P-4KS2E remotely?

You should download the **DMSS** app (available for iOS and Android). It allows you to scan the P2P QR code on the NVR interface for instant remote access, live viewing, and playback without complex network configuration.

Does the NVR5208-8P-4KS2E support viewing directly on a 4K TV?

Yes, the unit features an HDMI output that supports resolutions up to **3840x2160 (4K)**. You can connect it directly to a 4K monitor or television to view your 12MP or 4K camera feeds in full detail.

What should I do if the NVR cannot detect my cameras automatically?

Ensure your cameras are set to DHCP or have static IPs in the same network segment. If you are using ePoE or Coax converters and still face connectivity issues, please contact our technical support team at **[email protected]** for assistance with complex configurations.

How many days of recording can the NVR5208-8P-4KS2E hold?

This model supports 2 SATA hard drives with a combined capacity of up to 20TB. Using the efficient H.265 compression codec, a 12TB setup (2x 6TB) can typically store roughly 30 to 40 days of continuous 4K footage for 8 channels, though this varies based on bitrate and motion detection settings.

Is the NVR5208-8P-4KS2E sold as the Chinese or official EU version?

We sell the **Official EU version**. This means the firmware is in English, it supports official updates without region locking issues, and it complies with local standards. Apsardze24.lv is an authorized partner ensuring you receive genuine hardware.

Where do I send the device if it needs repair under warranty?

We provide a comprehensive **2-Year Warranty** for both business and private clients. If any issues arise, our service center is located locally in **Riga**, ensuring fast turnaround times for repairs or replacements without shipping the unit abroad.

Can I connect cameras further than 100m away to the NVR5208-8P-4KS2E?

Yes, this is a key feature of this model. Thanks to Dahua's **ePoE (Enhanced Power over Ethernet)** technology, you can transmit power and data up to 800 meters at 10Mbps or 300 meters at 100Mbps over a single Cat5e cable, eliminating the need for extra repeaters.

Will this NVR work with my existing non-Dahua IP cameras?

Generally, yes. The recorder is compliant with **ONVIF Version 2.4**, which allows it to communicate with third-party IP cameras from brands like Axis, Bosch, Sony, and others, provided those cameras are also ONVIF compatible.
