Is there enough airflow to prevent overheating when mounting four routers together?

The K-79 is engineered to maintain standard spacing for the RB5009 series, but for specific thermal performance metrics in high-density environments, please contact our support at [email protected].

Does the MikroTik K-79 Rackmount Kit for 4x RB5009 Routers include mounting screws?

Yes, the kit includes the necessary screws to secure the routers to the rackmount ears. However, standard cage nuts and screws for your specific server rack cabinet are typically sold separately.

How many devices can I install in a single 1U rack space using the K-79?

The K-79 allows you to mount up to four RB5009 routers side-by-side within a single 1U of rack space, significantly increasing port density in your server cabinet.

Can I use the K-79 to mount just one or two routers, or must all four slots be filled?

You can use the kit to mount any number of units from one to four. The remaining space will stay open, which can also assist with passive cooling for the installed units.
