  1. Simon Clark –

I recently bought this Dahua 8MP camera from apsardze24.lv and I am highly impressed. The 4K image quality is incredibly sharp, even at night. The active deterrence feature with red and blue lights works perfectly to scare off intruders. Great service from the store, delivery was fast.

    Simon Clark –

Will this camera work with a non-Dahua NVR (recorder)?

The camera supports standard ONVIF protocols, so it generally displays video on third-party recorders. However, specific TiOC features (like siren syncing) work best with Dahua recorders. For complex integration settings, please contact our technical support at [email protected].

Is the IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV a genuine EU version or a Chinese import?

This is the **Official EU version**. It supports English firmware updates, complies with GDPR standards, and has no region-locking issues typically found in grey market products.

How many days of footage can I record on an SD card with the IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV?

Thanks to H.265+ compression and WizSense AI (which reduces false alarm recordings), a **256GB MicroSD card** typically stores about 7 to 10 days of continuous 4K recording, or several weeks if set to record only upon Motion/AI detection.

What happens if my camera stops working after the first year?

We provide a **2-Year Warranty** for both private and business clients. Since Apsardze24.lv is based in Latvia, all warranty repairs and service are handled locally in **Riga**, ensuring a fast turnaround time.

Can I disable the flashing red and blue lights and the siren?

Yes. This TiOC (Three-in-One Camera) allows you to customize the Active Deterrence features. You can disable the siren, turn off the strobe lights, or schedule them to only activate during specific hours (e.g., at night) via the web interface or app.

Is the 2.8mm lens on this camera suitable for reading license plates?

No. The 2.8mm lens provides a very wide 106° field of view, making it excellent for general area surveillance (yards, parking lots). For reading license plates clearly, you would need a camera with a narrower, zoomed-in lens (e.g., 6mm or motorized varifocal) or the car must be very close (within 3-5 meters).

Does the IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV support full-color night vision?

Yes. It features Smart Dual Illuminators. You can set it to **Full-Color Mode** (warm LED lights for color video at night), **IR Mode** (invisible infrared for black & white), or **Smart Mode**, which uses IR normally but switches to warm lights/color when a human or vehicle is detected.

Which mobile app allows me to view the IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV remotely?

To access live video, playback, and two-way audio on your smartphone, download the **DMSS** app. It is free and available for both iOS and Android devices.
