  1. Daniel Hayes –

I recently bought this Dahua 28-port switch from apsardze24.lv for our office network. The 240W PoE budget handles our IP cameras easily, and the cloud management via DoLynk is super convenient. Delivery was incredibly fast. Highly recommend both this reliable switch and the store’s excellent service!

Can I install the DH-SG4028LP in a standard 19-inch server rack?

Yes. While it is categorized as a desktop switch, its width of 440mm is the standard size for 19-inch rack cabinets. It typically includes the necessary rack-mounting ears for a secure professional installation.

Does the DH-SG4028LP support advanced Layer 3 routing features like Inter-VLAN routing?

This model is a Layer 2 (L2) managed switch, meaning it is optimized for efficient data switching, VLAN tagging, and STP/RSTP protocols. For specific questions regarding complex Layer 3 configurations, please contact our technical team at [email protected].

What happens if my 28-port Dahua switch fails after the first year of use?

We provide a full 2-year warranty for both private and business customers. Because our service center is located in Riga, Apsardze24.lv ensures fast local repairs or replacements without the need to ship the unit abroad.

Does this Dahua switch require a paid subscription for cloud management?

Basic cloud management and monitoring via the DoLynk App are generally available without a subscription for standard users. You can also manage the device locally via its built-in WEB interface at no extra cost.

How do I manage the DH-SG4028LP switch remotely using my smartphone?

You can manage this switch using the DoLynk App, which is available for both iOS and Android. It allows for real-time network monitoring, easy configuration, and centralized cloud management from anywhere.

How many 15W IP cameras can I safely connect to the DH-SG4028LP?

With a total PoE power budget of 240W, you can power up to 16 standard 15W cameras simultaneously. If your cameras consume less power, you can utilize more of the 24 available PoE ports as long as the total consumption stays under the 240W limit.

Is the DH-SG4028LP sold here an official EU version or a grey market import?

This is an official EU version. It supports all official firmware updates and has no region locks. Apsardze24.lv is an authorized partner, ensuring you receive genuine hardware compatible with European standards.

What is the benefit of the SFP ports on the DH-SG4028LP for my network setup?

The two SFP Gigabit ports are designed for fiber optic uplinks. This allows you to connect the switch to your main server or another switch over long distances (up to several kilometers with the right module) without the interference risks of copper cabling.

Can the DH-SG4028LP power high-demand PTZ cameras that require more than 30W?

Yes, the designated 'red ports' on this switch support the IEEE 802.3bt standard. This allows them to deliver significantly higher power compared to standard PoE+ ports, making it ideal for advanced PTZ cameras or high-power IoT devices.
