What is required to use the AcuPick search technology?

AcuPick allows rapid searching for specific human or vehicle targets. To use this feature, the camera must be connected to a compatible backend, such as a Dahua NVR5-EI series recorder. For compatibility checks, contact [email protected].

How much recording time will I get on a 256GB MicroSD card?

With H.265+ compression enabled at 8MP (4K) resolution, a 256GB card typically stores about 3 to 5 days of continuous footage. Using AI Motion Detection recording will significantly extend this capacity.

Which mobile app is compatible with this model?

This is the official EU version and works seamlessly with the DMSS app (available on iOS and Android) for remote viewing and push notifications. It also supports SmartPSS for PC management.

Does the HDW5859TM-ASE-IL-0280B come with a power supply in the box?

No, professional Dahua WizMind cameras do not include a 12V power adapter. You must power the camera using a PoE switch, a PoE injector, or purchase a separate 12V DC power supply.

How does the Smart Dual Light feature work at night?

The camera uses infrared (black and white) night vision for general monitoring. When the AI detects a person or vehicle, it automatically switches to warm LED light to capture color details, then reverts to IR once the target leaves.

Yes, the camera is rated IP67 (dust and waterproof) and operates in temperatures ranging from –40 °C to +60 °C, making it fully capable of withstanding harsh Baltic winters.

Can I use this 2.8mm camera to read license plates at a distance?

No, the 2.8mm lens is designed for a wide 110° field of view to cover large areas (like yards or parking lots). For reading license plates clearly beyond 15 meters, we recommend a camera with a varifocal lens.

Does this camera support two-way audio communication?

It has a built-in microphone for recording high-quality audio. However, it does not have a built-in speaker; you must connect an external active speaker to the Audio Out RCA port to enable two-way talk.
