  1. Marcus Bennett –

I bought this Dahua balun set for my home security setup. The 4K resolution is crystal clear over CAT6, and the screw terminals made installation a breeze. No power supply needed is a huge plus. Very happy with the fast delivery from apsardze24.lv. Definitely a solid choice for any CCTV project.

Can the PFM800-4K video balun really transmit 4K video signals without quality loss?

Yes, the PFM800-4K is specifically engineered for real-time transmission of high-definition video up to 4K resolution. Unlike older standard-definition baluns, this model preserves signal integrity for modern 8MP surveillance systems, ensuring you get the full clarity your cameras are capable of capturing.

Do I need an external power supply to operate the PFM800-4K passive balun?

No, this model is a passive video balun, meaning it does not require an external power source to transmit the video signal. It works by impedance matching, allowing video to travel over twisted pair wire. However, please note that it transmits video data only; your cameras will still need their own power source.

Is the PFM800-4K compatible with older analog or different HD camera technologies?

This device is highly versatile and supports multiple formats including HDCVI, TVI, AHD, and legacy CVBS (analog). This makes it an excellent choice for hybrid systems. If you have a very specific or obscure camera model and are unsure about compatibility, please contact our technical support at [email protected] for verification.

How quickly can I receive my order if I am located in Latvia or the Baltics?

We maintain stock in our local warehouse in Riga, which significantly speeds up the process compared to ordering from abroad. Typically, customers in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia receive their equipment within 1-2 working days after the order is processed.

Is it risky to buy a cheaper "grey market" version of the PFM800-4K?

It can be. Grey market devices often lack proper quality control regarding anti-static and anti-thunder protection capabilities, which are crucial for baluns. As an Official Platinum Partner, Apsardze24.lv sells only certified equipment intended for the region, ensuring the internal components meet strict safety and performance standards.

What is the warranty procedure if the PFM800-4K stops working?

We stand behind the quality of our products with a 2-year warranty. In the rare event of a malfunction, warranty service is handled locally in Riga by Apsardze24.lv. This ensures a quick turnaround time for replacements or repairs without the hassle of shipping defective units to international manufacturers.

What type of cabling is required to install the PFM800-4K balun set correctly?

To ensure stable performance and reach the intended distance, we recommend using high-quality UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) CAT5E or CAT6 cables. The device features pluggable screw terminal connections, making it very easy to secure the wire pairs without specialized soldering tools.
