  1. Emily Dawson –

I’m really impressed with this Dahua camera! The 5MP resolution is crystal clear, and the auto-tracking works like a charm for my driveway. Delivery from apsardze24.lv was fast and hassle-free. Setting it up on Wi-Fi was straightforward, and the active deterrence light gives me extra peace of mind at night. Great value!

    Emily Dawson –

Which mobile app is required to view the camera remotely?

The Dahua P5AE-PV is managed through the official DMSS app, available for both iOS and Android. This is the official EU version of the camera, ensuring compatibility with regional cloud servers and receiving official firmware updates.

Does the Dahua P5AE-PV support 5GHz Wi-Fi networks?

No, this camera only supports the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi frequency band. For a stable connection, ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal and that the camera is placed within a range that maintains a strong signal-to-noise ratio.

Can the P5AE-PV automatically follow a person moving across the yard?

Yes, this model features 'Smart Tracking' (Auto-tracking), which allows the camera to automatically pan and tilt to follow a detected human or vehicle until they leave the field of view.

Does this camera include a power supply in the box?

Yes, unlike many professional PoE cameras, the Dahua P5AE-PV Wi-Fi model typically includes a 12V DC power adapter. You will need a nearby power outlet to plug in the camera as it is not battery-powered.

How does the Active Deterrence feature work during a security event?

When the camera detects a human or vehicle, it can automatically trigger its built-in white light to flash and activate a siren to warn off intruders. These features can be customized or scheduled via the DMSS mobile application.

How many days of video can I store on a 256GB MicroSD card with this camera?

Using the high-efficiency H.265+ codec at 5MP resolution, a 256GB card can store approximately 7 to 10 days of continuous footage. If set to record only upon motion detection, the storage capacity can extend to several weeks or months.

Is the 4mm lens on the Dahua P5AE-PV suitable for wide-angle porch monitoring?

The 4mm lens provides a horizontal field of view of 81.27°, which is slightly narrower than a standard wide-angle lens. It is better suited for monitoring specific areas like driveways or garden gates where you need more detail at a distance rather than an ultra-wide close-up view.

What happens if the camera develops a fault within the warranty period?

Apsardze24.lv provides a full 2-year warranty for this product. If a hardware issue occurs, our local service center in Riga handles repairs or replacements, ensuring you don't have to deal with overseas shipping or marketplace third parties.

What is the maximum Wi-Fi transmission distance through walls for this model?

Wi-Fi range varies significantly based on wall material (concrete vs. wood) and local interference; for specific environment planning or signal boosters, please contact our technical support at [email protected].
