  1. Gregory Miller –

I recently picked up this AXIS S3008 Mk II from apsardze24.lv for my small office setup. It’s incredibly compact and the integrated PoE switch made the installation a breeze. The 2TB drive handles my cameras perfectly. I’m very satisfied with the build quality and the quick delivery from the store.

Does the AXIS S3008 Mk II (02764-002) support third-party cameras, or only Axis models?

This network video recorder is optimized specifically for Axis network cameras and is designed to work seamlessly with AXIS Companion and AXIS Camera Station software. If you have specific compatibility questions regarding non-Axis devices, please contact our technical support at [email protected].

Can I install this 8-channel AXIS recorder in an unheated garage or outdoor cabinet?

No, this device is designed strictly for indoor use. Its operating temperature range is 0 °C to 45 °C, so it must be placed in a climate-controlled environment to prevent hard drive and component failure.

Can this NVR power all 8 connected security cameras directly without an extra switch?

Yes, it features an integrated 8-port PoE switch that provides up to PoE Class 3 (15.4W) per port. The total system power supply is 180W, which provides ample power to run 8 standard PoE cameras directly through the network cables.

How do I export or back up video evidence from this recorder?

You can export footage remotely over your local network using the AXIS viewing software. Additionally, the recorder is equipped with one USB 3.0 port, allowing for high-speed local video extraction to an external USB flash drive.

What happens if the video recorder breaks or the hard drive fails after purchase?

Unlike buying from unverified marketplaces, Apsardze24.lv provides a comprehensive 2-year warranty on this unit. Our dedicated service center is located in Riga, ensuring fast local troubleshooting and support across the Baltics.

Is this the official European version and what app is required for remote viewing?

Yes, this is the official EU version. It integrates directly with the AXIS Companion mobile app and PC software, ensuring secure, encrypted remote access to your live feeds and recorded video without complex router configuration.

How many days of recording can I get with the included 2TB hard drive?

Recording duration depends on camera resolution, frame rates, and whether you use motion-triggered recording. Using Axis Zipstream technology with standard 1080p cameras, a 2TB surveillance-grade drive typically holds between 1 to 4 weeks of footage.
