    Christopher Hughes –

How many days of event history can I see for the 30858 detector?

The 30858 detector itself does not store data, but the Ajax Hub records all events. Depending on your system settings, you can typically view several months of motion logs and alarm history directly within the Ajax app.

Is the 30858 White MotionProtect Ajax Fibra the official EU version?

Yes, this is the official EU version. Apsardze24.lv is an authorized partner, ensuring that your device receives all official firmware updates and operates without any regional restrictions or software locks.

What is the recommended mounting height for this indoor detector?

For optimal detection accuracy and to ensure the pet immunity feature works correctly, the detector should be mounted at a height of 2.4 meters. Mounting it significantly higher or lower may reduce the effectiveness of the PIR sensor.

Can I connect this wired motion detector to a non-Ajax security panel?

No, the Fibra series uses a proprietary communication protocol designed specifically for Ajax systems. This detector is only compatible with Ajax Hubs that support Fibra wired technology to ensure an encrypted and secure connection.

What happens if my 30858 detector fails after the first year?

Apsardze24.lv provides a comprehensive 2-year warranty for both private and business clients. Our service center is located in Riga, which allows for fast local repairs or replacements without the need to ship your equipment abroad.

Will my large dog trigger the alarm on this motion detector?

This detector features pet immunity for animals up to 50cm tall and 20kg in weight. If your pet is larger than this, please contact our technical support at [email protected] for guidance on specialized placement or alternative sensors.

Does this motion sensor work accurately in rooms with air conditioning?

Yes, it utilizes digital temperature compensation. This technology allows the PIR sensor to distinguish between the heat signature of a human and environmental changes caused by AC airflow or heaters, preventing false alarms.

Which app do I need to manage the 30858 White MotionProtect Ajax Fibra?

You need the "Ajax Security System" app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. This app allows you to pair the 30858 detector, configure sensitivity levels, and receive real-time push notifications if motion is detected.

Does the 30858 White MotionProtect require a separate power supply unit?

No, the detector is powered directly through the 4-core Fibra cable connected to your Ajax Hub. It draws the necessary 24V power from the bus, simplifying the installation process significantly.

Will the 88.5° wide angle on the 30858 detector cover my entire room?

Yes, with an 88.5° horizontal viewing angle and a 12-meter detection range, a single 30858 unit is designed to provide comprehensive coverage for standard-sized rooms when mounted in a corner.
