DualCurtain Outdoor monitors your property’s perimeter without obstructing existing people. Two independent optical systems with narrow viewing sectors and flexible settings allow precise adjustments up to 30 meters from the detection zone, eliminating potential false alarm sources. ELSA (Extended Live Signal Analysis) unique software responds to intruders by verifying triggers such as natural disturbances and pets.
The detector’s sides have two optical systems with narrow viewing sectors, each equipped with two PIR sensors. Due to temperature compensation, detection is consistently accurate. Sensor signals are analyzed by our new ELSA digital algorithm. Only if both sensors of one optical system simultaneously detect human movement will the detector activate an alarm.

DualCurtain Outdoor features protected area extension technology, which is unique among outdoor curtain motion detectors. When Near Area Detection is enabled, the detector’s upper PIR sensor receives an additional narrow viewing sector angled 40 degrees downward from the main sector. This feature allows both sensors to detect movement when a person closely crosses the protected perimeter to the detector’s body, addressing the blind spot issue typical for such detectors.

Near Area Detection is designed to protect windows and other passages inaccessible to animals. The proximity of detection zone vectors significantly reduces the effectiveness of pet immunity.

The detection range of the dual optical systems is adjusted independently. This allows precise setting of the DualCurtain Outdoor’s protected perimeter and avoids false alarms caused by a bush swaying in the wind or people walking along a public sidewalk. To prevent the detector’s field of view from being obstructed by a façade column or downspout, the optical systems can be vertically redirected. Sensitivity or deactivation of any optical system can be adjusted in the app.

DualCurtain Outdoor cannot be subtly blinded or disabled, even if Ajax is disarmed. The detector’s optical systems are reinforced with modern masking sensors that respond to obstructions, covering, and painting the lenses. Tamper protection prevents unnoticed removal of the device from its mount. Even if the detector is immediately destroyed, the hub will take less than a minute to detect the communication loss and inform the central monitoring station and users about the issue.

Due to DualCurtain Outdoor’s low power consumption, it operates for years on pre-installed batteries. The monitoring station and users will be pre-warned of the device’s maintenance needs.

The process of adding and configuring DualCurtain Outdoor saves installation engineer time in the best way. To add the detector to the system, you only need to scan the QR code with the Ajax app, assign it a name and room. Configure the device in the app in real time while testing the detection zones and communication. If necessary, the detector can be disabled or its system parameters reconfigured remotely without site visits.
