The 2.8mm lens provides a wide 110° field of view, which is excellent for general area surveillance and room coverage. For identifying specific details like license plates at a distance, a lens with a narrower angle (larger focal length) would be required.

No, this is a PoE (Power over Ethernet) camera and does not come with a standalone power supply. You must connect it to a PoE switch or use a PoE injector to provide power and data.
