No, this StarterKit (38169) utilizes the standard Hub, which supports the Jeweller protocol but lacks the 'Wings' protocol required for MotionCam. If you require photo verification detectors, you must upgrade to a Hub 2 or Hub 2 Plus.

Is there a monthly subscription fee to use the mobile app?

No, using the Ajax Security System app for self-monitoring on iOS or Android is completely free. You will receive push notifications regarding system events without charge; monthly fees only apply if you contract a private security firm for monitoring.

How long do the batteries last in the included sensors?

The pre-installed batteries are highly energy-efficient. The DoorProtect sensor operates for up to 7 years, and the MotionProtect sensor operates for up to 5 years before requiring battery replacement, depending on temperature and usage frequency.

Will my dog or cat trigger the MotionProtect alarm?

The MotionProtect sensor included in this kit features a digital algorithm designed to ignore pets weighing up to 20 kg and standing up to 50 cm tall. To ensure proper pet immunity, the sensor must be installed strictly at a height of 2.4 meters.

What happens if the electricity goes out at the installation site?
