Does this device support the SwOS operating system?

The CRS106-1C-5S runs exclusively on RouterOS. Unlike some other MikroTik CRS models that offer dual-boot capabilities, this specific hardware does not support the simplified SwOS.

Is the MikroTik Cloud Router Switch 106-1C-5S fast enough for 1Gbps wire-speed routing?

While it runs RouterOS L5, the 400MHz CPU is intended primarily for Layer 2 switching. For complex Layer 3 routing, firewall rules, or NAT, the CPU will limit throughput significantly below 1Gbps.

How do I use both the RJ45 and the SFP slot on the combo port simultaneously?

You cannot use both at the same time because they share a single internal lane. You must configure the device via RouterOS to prioritize either the Gigabit Ethernet copper port or the SFP cage.
