How does the dual-lens tracking work on the Dahua SDT3E410-8P-MB-A-PV1?

This camera uses a 'Smart Tracking' link between the 8MP panoramic lens and the 4MP PTZ lens. When the panoramic lens detects a target in its 180° field of view, it automatically commands the PTZ lens to zoom in and track the subject with its 10x optical zoom.

How does the 'Smart Dual Light' night vision function?

The camera typically uses IR LEDs for discreet night vision up to 70m. When the AI detects a person or vehicle, it automatically switches on the warm light LEDs (30m range) to capture full-color evidence and act as a visual deterrent.

How many days of footage can I store on a 256GB MicroSD card?

Due to the high-resolution dual-stream (8MP + 4MP), a 256GB card will provide approximately 3 to 5 days of continuous recording using H.265 compression. For longer storage, we recommend setting the camera to record only during AI-detected events (SMD 4.0).

Can I see vehicle license plates clearly with the 10x optical zoom?

The 10x optical zoom on the 4MP detail camera allows for clear identification of license plates at distances of up to 30–50 meters depending on lighting conditions. For high-speed traffic or greater distances, a dedicated LPR (License Plate Recognition) camera is recommended.

Can the siren and lights be scheduled to activate only at night?

Yes, at Apsardze24.lv, we recommend configuring the Active Deterrence settings through the web interface. You can set specific schedules for the built-in siren and warm light to trigger only during your non-business hours or nighttime.
