  1. Andrew Bennett –

I’m really impressed with this Ajax MotionCam. The photo-on-demand feature gives me such peace of mind when I’m away from home. Setup was a breeze, and the delivery from apsardze24.lv was impressively fast. It’s a solid, reliable sensor that blends perfectly with my white walls. Definitely worth the investment for home security!

How do I prevent false alarms from pets when using this PIR motion detector?

The device features pet immunity for animals up to 20 kg and 50 cm in height. To ensure this works correctly, the detector must be installed at the recommended height of 2.4 meters and positioned so pets cannot climb near its field of view.

Does the Ajax MotionCam PhOD 119282 work with any Ajax central hub?

No, this detector requires a hub that supports visual alarm verification, such as Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, or Hub Hybrid. It is not compatible with the standard Hub or Hub Plus, so check your hub model at Apsardze24.lv before purchasing.

Does the MotionCam PhOD (119282) take clear photos in complete darkness?

Yes, the detector is equipped with a built-in IR backlight that allows it to capture black-and-white photos in total darkness. The camera only activates during an alarm or upon a user request, ensuring energy efficiency and privacy.

Can this PIR motion detector be installed outside to monitor a yard?

No, this model is designed strictly for indoor use within a temperature range of −10 °C to +40 °C. If you require an outdoor-rated detector with a camera, please contact our technical support at [email protected] for an alternative recommendation.

How long will the batteries last in the Ajax MotionCam PhOD (119282)?

The two pre-installed CR123A batteries provide up to 4 years of operation under normal use. Battery life may decrease if the 'Photo on Demand' feature is used excessively or if the device is located far from the hub with a weak Wings radio signal.

What is the warranty policy for the Ajax MotionCam PhOD at Apsardze24.lv?

Apsardze24.lv provides a 2-year warranty on this product, with a local service center located in Riga for efficient technical support. We also provide fast shipping across the Baltic states to ensure your security system is operational without delay.

Is the Ajax 119282 MotionCam PhOD the official EU version?

Yes, this is the official European version designed for the EU market. It works seamlessly with the Ajax Security System app and receives all official firmware updates and security patches automatically.

Can I manually request a live photo from the MotionCam PhOD at any time?

Yes, unlike the standard MotionCam, the PhOD (Photo on Demand) version allows users to take a photo at any moment through the Ajax app. You can also configure it to take photos when a specific scenario is triggered or when another sensor in the system goes off.
