  1. Marcus Thorne –

I’m really impressed with this Ajax DoorProtect Plus. It was easy to set up on my roof windows, and the tilt sensor works like a charm. Delivery from apsardze24.lv was spot on and very quick. It gives me great peace of mind knowing it detects vibrations too. Highly recommended!

    Marcus Thorne –

How do I prevent false alarms from wind or minor vibrations with the Ajax DoorProtect Plus (38101)?

You can easily adjust the shock and tilt sensitivity settings directly within the Ajax mobile app. This allows the system to ignore minor vibrations from wind or heavy traffic while still instantly detecting genuine break-in attempts.

Is this the official Global/EU version of the Ajax door and window sensor?

Yes, this is the official EU version of the hardware. It connects seamlessly to your central hub using the official Ajax Security System app and fully supports all automatic over-the-air firmware updates.

Will this sensor mount correctly on heavily customized or non-standard curved window frames?

Because frame dimensions and surface curves vary significantly by manufacturer, installation compatibility heavily depends on the exact profile of your window. If you are unsure whether it will fit your specific setup, please direct your inquiry to our technical support at [email protected] for personalized guidance.

Can I leave my roof windows open for ventilation without triggering the alarm?

Yes, because this sensor registers changes in the vertical slope angle, it is perfect for roof windows. You can leave the window in a tilted ventilation position when arming the system, and it will only trigger if the angle changes further or if it detects physical shocks.

Is it safe to install the white 38101 shock and tilt detector on an outdoor gate?

No, this specific detector model is designed exclusively for indoor environments. Installing it outdoors exposes the hardware to moisture and extreme temperature fluctuations that will damage the internal components.

What happens if the detector breaks or stops working after I buy it?

Unlike buying from unauthorized marketplaces, Apsardze24.lv provides a full 2-Year Warranty for all business and private clients. Our dedicated service center is located in Riga, ensuring you receive fast, local support if any hardware issues arise.

What type of battery does this wireless opening detector use and how long does it last?

This device operates using a pre-installed CR123A 3V battery. Thanks to its energy-efficient communication protocol, the battery can last up to 5 years before needing a replacement.

Can I connect a third-party wired sensor to this wireless detector?

Yes, the device features a built-in external contact terminal. This allows you to easily wire an additional third-party NC (normally closed) detector, such as a roller shutter sensor, integrating it directly into your wireless Ajax system.
