Is the 30864 wired keypad compatible with the Ajax Hub 2 (4G) wireless system?

No, this is a Fibra (wired) device. The 30864 is exclusively compatible with Ajax Hub Hybrid systems. It will not work with standard wireless-only hubs like the Hub, Hub Plus, or Hub 2 as it requires a physical bus connection.

Does this touch keypad support contactless cards or Ajax Tag fobs?

No, this specific model (30864) is a touch-only keypad. It is operated via digital codes. If you require support for contactless Tags or Pass cards, you should look for the Ajax KeyPad Plus Fibra model.

What happens if an intruder tries to guess the security code on the keypad?

The keypad features advanced code-guessing protection. If an incorrect code is entered multiple times within a short period, the keypad will automatically lock for a pre-set duration and trigger an alarm notification to the system administrator.

Can the 30864 touch keypad be installed in an unheated outdoor area?

No, the 30864 is designed specifically for indoor use. It should be installed in environments where temperatures and humidity remain within standard indoor operating ranges to ensure the touch sensor and internal electronics function correctly.

What is the maximum cable distance allowed for connecting this keypad to the Hub?

The maximum distance depends on the type of cable used and the total power consumption on the Fibra line. For a detailed calculation based on your specific layout, please contact our technical support at [email protected].

What is the warranty period for the 30864 keypad bought in the Baltics?

We provide a full 2-year warranty for both private and business customers. Because Apsardze24.lv is based in Riga, any necessary service or repairs are handled locally and quickly, without the need to ship the device back to a manufacturer abroad.

Is it possible to adjust the brightness of the buttons for night use?

Yes, the keypad features an adjustable LED backlight. You can configure the brightness levels within the Ajax app to ensure the buttons are clearly visible in the dark without being overly distracting in a residential setting.

How do I know if the Ajax 30864 I purchase is the official EU version?

At Apsardze24.lv, we only sell the official EU version of the Ajax 30864. This ensures your device is not region-locked, receives all official firmware updates, and is fully compatible with European monitoring stations.

How does the silent duress alarm feature function on this Ajax keypad?

The duress alarm allows you to enter a specific 'ambush' code. When entered, the system appears to disarm normally and the siren does not sound, but a silent alarm is instantly sent to the monitoring company and other users to signal an emergency.

Which mobile app is required to manage the 30864 Ajax KeyPad Fibra?

You will need the 'Ajax Security System' app, which is available for both iOS and Android. This app allows you to remotely manage user codes, check device status, and receive instant notifications directly on your smartphone.
