  1. Marcus Reed –

This compact Dahua NVR is a powerhouse. The 12MP support ensures top-notch image quality, and the industrial-grade CPU keeps everything running smoothly. I’m really impressed with how easy it was to configure. Apsardze24.lv delivered it quickly, and their customer support was very helpful. Highly recommended for home security.

Is this NVR a Chinese market version or a global model?

This is the **Official EU version** of the product. It supports English and other European languages, accepts official firmware updates, and is fully supported by Apsardze24.lv as an Authorized Partner.

How many days of footage can the NVR2108HS-8P-4KS3 store?

Recording duration depends on the HDD size and recording settings. Thanks to **Smart H.265+ compression**, a 4TB hard drive recording 4 cameras at 4MP resolution on motion detection typically retains footage for approximately 30 days.

Will third-party cameras work with the NVR2108HS-8P-4KS3?

Yes, the recorder supports the **ONVIF** profile, allowing it to connect with third-party IP cameras. However, for the best experience and full access to AI features like SMD Plus, we recommend using Dahua cameras.

Can the NVR2108HS-8P-4KS3 record full 4K resolution videos?

Yes, this NVR supports camera resolutions up to **12MP**, which is higher than standard 4K (8MP). It allows for ultra-high-definition recording and playback, provided your connected cameras also support these resolutions.

Which mobile application is compatible with the NVR2108HS-8P-4KS3?

To monitor your system remotely on iOS or Android, download the **DMSS** app (Dahua Mobile Surveillance System). It allows for P2P setup, live viewing, and playback without needing complex port forwarding.

Does this recorder come with a hard drive installed?

No, this NVR does not include a pre-installed hard drive. It features 1 SATA port that supports a 3.5-inch HDD. You will need to purchase a surveillance-grade hard drive separately to store recordings.

How do I handle warranty claims if the unit malfunctions?

We provide a comprehensive **2-Year Warranty** for both business and private clients. Since our service center is located in **Riga**, warranty repairs are processed locally and quickly without shipping the unit abroad.

Do I need an external PoE switch to power my cameras?

No, this device has 8 integrated PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports. You can plug PoE-compatible cameras directly into the back of the recorder, and they will receive both power and data through a single network cable.

What is the benefit of SMD Plus technology on this Dahua recorder?

SMD Plus (Smart Motion Detection) utilizes AI to distinguish between real security threats and background noise. It filters out false alarms triggered by leaves, rain, or pets, sending you alerts only when a **human or vehicle** is detected.

What should I do if I forget the admin password for the system?

Password resets can often be handled via the DMSS app using the reserved email function. If you cannot reset it, please contact our technical support at [email protected] for assistance with the verification procedure.
