Does the ARA13-W2-868-RED work as a standalone device?

No, this is not a standalone Wi-Fi device. It utilizes 868MHz frequency hopping technology and requires a compatible **Dahua AirShield wireless security hub** (Gateway) to communicate. If you are unsure about compatibility with your existing system, please email [email protected] for verification.

Is this the Official EU version or a Chinese import?

We supply the **Official EU version** of this product. This guarantees full compatibility with European 868MHz frequencies, compliance with GDPR/safety standards, and unrestricted access to cloud firmware updates.

Is this siren loud enough for a large property?

Yes, the ARA13-W2-868-RED has a sound pressure level of **110 dB**, which is comparable to a loud rock concert or a car horn. This ensures the alarm is clearly audible across a wide area, acting as a strong deterrent against intruders.

Can I install the ARA13-W2-868-RED outside in winter conditions?

Absolutely. The siren is **IP65 rated**, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against water jets. It is designed to withstand harsh weather conditions with an operating temperature range of –25 °C to +60 °C, making it suitable for Northern European climates.

Which mobile app is required to configure the ARA13-W2-868-RED?

To configure and manage this siren, you should use the **DMSS** app (Dahua Mobile Security Surveillance), available on both iOS and Android. This app allows you to pair the device with your Dahua security hub, check battery levels, and adjust alarm settings.

How long do the batteries last in the Dahua ARA13-W2-868 wireless siren?

The device is powered by CR123A batteries which typically provide an estimated battery life of **up to 3 years**, thanks to efficient low-power consumption. Alternatively, the siren supports a 12 VDC wired power connection for continuous operation without relying solely on batteries.

What happens if the device stops working after one year?

We offer a comprehensive **2-Year Warranty** for all business and private clients. If any issues arise, Apsardze24.lv handles warranty repairs locally at our service center in **Riga**, ensuring a fast turnaround without shipping the unit abroad.
